IU found itself in the odd situation Sunday of rooting for Purdue.
With wins by the Boilermakers against Wisconsin and Michigan versus Michigan State, IU has now clinched at least a share of the Big Ten regular season title. The team's conference record stands at 13-3 while all other teams have at least five losses.
A win Tuesday when IU hosts Ohio State on Senior Night would clinch the outright conference crown for the Hoosiers.
The team has not won the title outright since 1993, and has not had a share of it since 2002.
