After tallying a two-under score of 214 en route to tying for the individual victory in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown earlier this week, IU sophomore Elizabeth Tong was named the Big Ten golfer of the week.
The victory was Tong's second of the season and in both tournaments, Tong led the Hoosiers to a team victory as well in their final tournament of the fall.
Tong's first round tied for her best score of the season when she posted a 68 (-4). She toughed it out through strong winds on day two before shooting a 70 on the final day of competition.
