Just got a brief update from Walter Offutt, the former highly touted Warren Central recruit and one-time Ohio State Buckeye who is considering walking on at IU.
Offutt previously told me he was leaning towards IU and later was reportedly set on IU if his potential financial aid package works out.
Tonight he said his mother's recent visit to IU to discuss financial aid "went well."
The combo guard added that he will be visiting Athens, Ohio next Saturday to check out Ohio University. He will not, however, be making a return trip to IU, saying he has "been there plenty of times."
Offutt plans to make his the following by Monday, and said the following:
50-50 decision between IU and Ohio.
