After the players received their first win against Purdue in college, the team was defeated 5-0 in the final road game of the season.
The Hoosiers went 4-25 in the shutout loss to the Boilermakers. The Hoosiers fall to 12-35 on the season, and 4-13 in the Big Ten. They are now tied for second to last in the conference.
A high note of the loss, freshman Breanna Saucedo had two hits, marking her 15th multi-hit game of the season.
With the win, Purdue has now hit .500 with their conference results, 8-8, and they are 27-25 on the season.
There are only two games left to the 2010 season for the Hoosiers, both home games against Penn State on May 14 and 15.
