Hi all,

For the second consecutive season the Big Ten Network will broadcast an IU baseball contest as part of its spring sports coverage.

The channel is set to show four Hoosier games: IU's April 11 and 12 matchups at Iowa and May 9 and 10 ballgames at home against Northwestern. The two Big Ten series will be aired at 2:20 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET, respectively.

IU baseball head coach Tracy Smith said he is ecstatic to have his Hoosiers once again playing on the Big Ten Network.

"We're looking forward to the second season of baseball coverage from the Big Ten Network," Smith said. "I knew it would have a positive effect on our program when the Network launched, but I never thought the impact would be as great as it was in the first year. The Big Ten Network continues to be a huge asset for Indiana Baseball and the Big Ten Conference."

The Big Ten tournament, which many publications expect IU to contend for, will also air on the Big Ten Network from Columbus' Huntington Park, May 20-23.

The Hoosiers season is only two weeks away, as they will kick things off against West Virginia in the BIG EAST/Big Ten Challenge on Feb. 24 -- be sure to check the IDS for your preseason coverage.

Hope you all are as excited for this season's start as Greg and I.
