Hey folks,

That's right, the Hoosiers' start to Big Ten play did not go as planned (I would assume), as IU lost 10-2 to Minnesota tonight in Minneapolis. The loss snaps a five-game win streak that dates back to IU's trip out to California for spring break.

Anthony Agnew started and lasted just 1 2/3 innings, though his replacement - Joey O'Gara - pitched a stellar 6 2/3 innings of relief, surrendering four runs, three earned. Agnew gave up the other six.

Josh Phegley led the Hoosiers offensively, going 3-for-4.

The Hoosiers took a lead early, picking up a 1-0 lead after Evan Crawford scored an unearned run.

But a six-run second that saw 12 Gophers come to bat and drove Agnew from the game undid the visitors. IU only mustered one more run the rest of the game.

IU will play Minnesota again tomorrow. Twice, in fact. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern, with the second game to begin some time after the first. Stay with Inside Pitch as we bring you all the action in Minneapolis.
