Embezzlement committed by Kroger employee

A Bloomington man was arrested early Saturday morning in connection with an internal theft that occurred June 6 at the Kroger at 1825 N. Kinser Pike.

Nathan J. Dunec, 25, was caught using slips twice from a coin-cashing machine located at the Kroger.

Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Robert Skelton said police received a report of the incident Friday, and went to the store to investigate.

Skelton said it appeared this was an isolated incident, and the total amount taken by Dunec was $57.

Dunec was charged with theft, and Skelton said Dunec also had a warrant out for his arrest in a different county.
