Not only is the IU Kelley School of Business ranked fourth overall in the United States as a business school, according to Bloomberg Businessweek, but its online MBA program is ranked in the Top 25 online programs of its kind in 2018.

Poets & Quants, a business news site, ranked Kelley No. 2 in the world after evaluating three separate factors, according to an IU press release. Factors include quality of incoming students, MBA experience by graduates and career outcomes.

The Kelley School of Business has consistently been ranked highly by different sites and organizations. According to Bloomberg Businessweek, Kelley also has a 94 percent job placement rate in the three months after graduation.

Idalene Kesner, the dean of the Kelley School of Business, said in an IU press release the online program and its success highlight the work of the faculty and staff in a special way.

"It's wonderful that Kelley is in the top five in all three categories, but I'm most proud of the high score from our alumni for the overall MBA experience," Kesner said in the press release. "Our faculty and staff work very hard to create a meaningful, personalized and connected experience that moves our students toward their own true success."

“Kelley Direct,” the online MBA program, ensures students have regular access to faculty and can come to the IU-Bloomington campus at the start of their first two years.

According to the release, students are assigned an academic coach and a career coach with requirements to meet with them at regular intervals.

The program, according to the Kelley School of Business website, involves web-based meetings, forums, simulations with virtual markets and team-based classes.

The online program can take anywhere from two to five years to finish with 51 required credit hours, according to the Kelley website.
