Blackout shuts down power to campus buildings

Breaking News Filler

A rolling blackout affected portions of the IU-Bloomington campus Thursday night. Franklin Hall and Herman B Wells Library are among those affected.

The power has since returned but Chuck Carney, IU's director of media relations, said the University is still working to learn what happened. Carney said there was an issue with Duke Energy, but the exact nature of the problem is uncertain.
