Two men, who police believe were in the middle of a robbery, were shot Saturday evening.
Police had been called to an apartment complex at 7 p.m. at 1440 N. Woodburn Ave. where they found the two 36-year-old suspected robbers, according to a Bloomington Police Department press release.
The release describes the men as wearing blue jeans, dark hooded sweatshirts and masks. It states investigators believe they were robbing victims of money and drugs when they were shot.
It is unknown who shot the two men or if others were injured in the attempted robbery
One of the men shot was found dead when police arrived, while the second was sent to IU Bloomington Health Hospital for treatment. The release provided no further information regarding the injured man's condition.
