An 18-year-old woman from Trafalgar, Indiana, told police she had been raped Saturday night after a party in Bloomington.
The woman, who is not an IU student, reported the incident to police Monday after undergoing a sexual assault exam at IU Health Bloomington.
She told police the party was at a house where her friend from high school lives, which may have been on North Washington Street, but she said her memory was foggy. She said she also does not remember where in the house the incident occurred.
The woman told police she had been drinking at the party and blacked out. She reported the next thing she remembered was waking up to a man she knew having sex with her.
She told police she blacked out again and woke up vomiting before leaving to go home.
Police said the investigation is ongoing because they are waiting to hear if she would like to pursue charges against the male suspect.
