22-year-old woman allegedly thrown against a wall at Brothers Bar and Grill

A 22-year-old woman was left with a large bruise on her forehead after Antwain Edmonson, 33, allegedly threw her against the wall of Brothers Bar and Grill at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Police located Edmonson on Sixth Street, just west of Walnut Street, and arrested him on charges of battery.

Edmonson told police the alleged victim was supposed to leave the bar with him and his friends, so he tapped her on the shoulder twice to get her to leave. He said she responded by slapping his hand away and throwing her drink on him. He said he pushed her to the ground to keep her from hitting him.

But the woman told police that Edmonson grabbed her butt twice before she dumped her drink on him. Surveillance video shows he touched her on the lower back but exactly where he touched her is unclear, BPD Captain Steve Kellams said.

The woman was treated at the bar head injury.
