Indiana State Police Bloomington troopers will conduct a sobriety check point Sept. 3 in Monroe County.

The location of this checkpoint will not be disclosed to the public, according to an Indiana State Police press release.

ISP offers in the release some tips for drivers in the area:

  • Plan ahead, and use a designated driver if you plan on drinking.
  • Do not get behind the wheel of a vehicle if you have consumed any alcoholic beverages.

What are the other options if you cannot drive?

  • Call a taxi.
  • Call a family member or friend.

Anyone who observes suspicious or erratic driving should call 911 immediately and describe the vehicle, its location and direction of travel. Callers can remain anonymous.
