A gas leak occurred on campus near 11th Street and Woodlawn Avenue, according to an IU-Notify alert sent around 2:30 p.m. Monday.
The leak has since been contained, according to a separate IU-Notify alert sent around 4 p.m.
The intersection of 11th and Woodlawn is near the construction site for Luddy Hall, a new building for the IU School of Informatics and Computing.
At the time, people were encouraged to stay away from the area, although the leak prompted no evacuations according to campus alerts.
There is no longer an imminent danger, according to IU's most recent alert, but utility crews may still be in the area.
