Eclipse viewers doodle their feelings

eclipse doodles-02

By Mia Torres

We asked eclipse viewers to draw how the solar eclipse made them feel. Here are their doodles.

"Watching the eclipse makes me happy."

Sydney-Paige Patterson, first year Ph.D. student.

"Eclipse got me like woah."

Alaina Patterson, sophomore.

"I think I've looked at the sun a little too much. I feel like I'm getting dizzy. It might have to do with putting my neck up a lot."

Spencer Bowman, sophomore.

"We're all really small, but we're all part of the whole wide universe and all the phenomena in it."

Kori Newboles, Lilly Library cataloger.

"This is how I feel having looked at the sun multiple times without sunglasses. These are my eyes catching fire. From the sun."

Sarah Shapiro, sophomore.

"I'd be embarrassed if I were the sun because everyone's staring at it."

Genevieve Marvin, sophomore.

"Really happy."

Oliver Bailey, 11 years old.

"I feel close to everybody right now because we all seem very small on a planet hanging in space under the same eclipse. We have to take care of each other."

Jennie Mosora, mom.
