Bloomington South High School running back Kristian Pechac verbally committed to IU on Saturday evening via Twitter.

Scout.com’s second-best class of 2018 running back in the state of Indiana is the son of IU Football’s Director of Player Development and Academic Enhancement, Mike Pechac.

“Today I ended my recruiting process by officially committing to Indiana University,” the 4-star running back tweeted. “I’d like to thank everyone who helped me along the way through every stage of my life and football.”

Pechac is the fourth commitment for IU's 2018 class, and as a junior, he rushed for 2,030 yards and 28 touchdowns for Bloomington South. Scout.com also has Pechac ranked as a four-star recruit and the 25th-best running back in the country.

The IU commit also received offers from Minnesota, Cincinnati and Kentucky, among other schools. IU extended its offer to Pechac in December of 2016.
