A pair of high-profile singer-rappers — Jeremih and iLoveMakonnen — will perform at this year’s Little 500 concert.
The concert will be April 20 at the IU Auditorium and will kick off the Little 500 weekend before races start the following Friday.
Union Board representatives confirmed the lineup Thursday afternoon. Earlier in the day, a Snapchat geofilter with the artists’ names appeared for people who used the app in the Indiana Memorial Union.
Jeremih, who will headline the show, released his critically acclaimed third album, “Late Nights,” in 2015. That record featured hits including “Don’t Tell ‘Em,” “Planes” and “Oui.”
Atlanta-based artist iLoveMakonnen made his name with the 2014 single “Tuesday” and its subsequent remix by Drake. He released mixtapes “Drink More Water 6” and “Red Trap Dragon” last year.
Student pre-sale tickets will be available Friday using a promotional code, which will be sent out to student emails. General ticket sales begin March 31.
