Two IU athletes were named Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week by the Big Ten on Wednesday.
On the women’s side, sophomore Katherine Receveur was named Track Athlete of the Week, and sophomore Bryce Millar took the same honor on the men’s side.
Receveur's first indoor track and field weekly honor came after recording a first-place finish in the 5,000-meter at the Hoosier Open in a school-record time of 15:50.30. This strong opening is no surprise, as she also earned All-America honors in cross-country this season.
Millar’s 5,000-meter Hoosier Open performance also helped him to the weekly honor, as he took third place. This is also Millar’s first weekly honor.
