In celebration of the last day of summer, local restaurants are joining together to leave a sweet taste at the end of the season.
Big Woods Bloomington, in partnership with Chocolate Moose and Quaff On Brewing, is having an ice cream social in the beer garden of the Big Woods Bloomington brewery, according to a Big Woods Bloomington press release.
Quaff On brews will be paired with Chocolate Moose.
From 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday legal-age participants are encouraged to come celebrate the last day with the cool treat paired with the cool refreshment.
This is the first year the collaboration of restaurants will have the ice cream social.
“We’ve been friends with Chocolate Moose for years and there is no day better to celebrate ice cream and beer together,” Danny Webb, sales manager for Quaff On Brewing, said.
Big Woods Bloomington, located at 116 N. Grant St., was made to create a venue that provides a complete drinking, dining and entertainment experience, according to the release.
Big Woods Bloomington features 24 taps anchored by eight signature beers from Quaff On and Big Woods. The menu includes one of the most popular selections, Busted Knuckle Ale. The remaining taps are other favorites from craft breweries in the area, according to the release.
“We are just trying to have a fun Wednesday night,” Webb said.
