Three-star receiver chooses IU instead of top-25 schools

Three-star wide receiver Josh Johnson has committed to IU football's recruiting class of 2017, the recruit announced in a tweet Monday night.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound wide receiver out of Central Arkansas Christian High School in Maumelle, Arkansas received offers from No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 29 Memphis, Kansas and Louisiana Tech, and he had recently visited Vanderbilt on Nov. 14.

Michigan, Arkansas, Arizona State and Nebraska also showed interest in the receiver.

Johnson visited IU on Oct. 3, where he received his fifth, and final, offer.

According to 247Sports.com, Johnson is ranked as the fourth-best receiver in Arkansas and is 92nd in the nation at his position.
