A 20-year-old woman reported a rape by a known male subject, according to the Bloomington Police Department daily log.
The woman was transported to the hospital Monday afternoon for a medical examination. While at the hospital, the woman reported she had been raped earlier, according to the log.
The case began when the distraught woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation on an immediate detention, Capt. Joe Qualters of BPD said.
This is an active investigation by BPD.
