After going 5-for-8 and hitting two doubles against the College of Charleston last weekend, freshman Logan Sowers was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week.

For the entire season, Sowers is batting .303 with four RBIs and four runs scored with eight starts in right and left field.

Sowers has also stolen two bases this season and is tied for the team high with four extra base hits including three doubles.
