Korean Hummus Recipe

Arts editor, Audrey Perkins demonstrates how to make Korean Hummus in her weekly video recipe.

This recipe takes a traditional hummus recipe and gives it a Korean twist.

Gochujang is a traditional sauce that is used commonly in Korean food. It is bright red in color and lends food a sweet, spicy, savory touch.

Ingredients

- 1 can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

- ¼ cup olive oil, plus ¼ cup more to help grinding process

- Juice of half a lemon

- 1 tsp Korean hot pepper paste

- Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1: Add all the ingredients into a food processor.

Step 2: Grind until all the beans are mashed and the mix becomes creamy. If the beans do not grind easily, add more oil until everything moves smoothly.

Step 3: Serve with pita chips or sliced vegetables.
