The event has taken place for more than 10 years at the Upland Bloomington Brew Pub on 11th Street.
Communications Coordinator Emily Hines said the event is free and family-friendly.
An all-German menu will be served by people in traditional dress at the event celebrating fall and the release of the Oktoberfest Lager Beer, a special brew that is available only during the fall season, she said.
“It’s just sort of a celebration of that,” Hines said.
Hines said liter steins will be available for purchase during the event.
Four bands will perform at the event, starting at 4 p.m. with Charlie Jesseph, according to Upland’s website.
At 5:30 p.m. Crescent Ulmer will perform, followed by the Abbey Normals at 7 p.m. and Elephant Quiz at 8:30 p.m.
Hines said Oktoberfest has been one of the staff’s favorite events to work at Upland Brewery for the past 10 years because they get into the spirit of it.
“It’s a high-energy event,” she said.
Hines said they are expecting a full house for the event as people come and go throughout the day.
“It’s a great event for family and friends to enjoy the fall season,” she said.
