Bloomington resident arrested on charges of dealing marijuana

The Bloomington Police Department confiscated 14 pounds of marijuana and more than $200,000 in cash in a home on the 2000 block of South Rogers Street on Sunday.

Bloomington resident Chaun Christie was arrested on charges of dealing marijuana, a level 5 felony, according to a press release. Christie was then transported to the Monroe County Jail.

BPD received a tip from the Drug Enforcement Administration about the marijuana and the cash earlier that day, according to a press release.

A search warrant was thereby obtained.

DEA agents and BPD worked together to serve the search warrant. The house on Rogers Street was a part of an ongoing investigation by the DEA, according to the release.

Along with the cash and the marijuana, the BPD seized two handguns and two vehicles from the residence. The vehicles were identified as a 2012 Range Rover and a 2005 Cadillac Escalade.
