Victim chases burglary suspect to garage

A 53-year-old man ran down the street, dropping clothes he had stolen, as a burglarized 21-year-old man chased him.

Timothy Frye, 53, was arrested for criminal mischief, burglary, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At about 8:37 a.m., Saturday a 21-year-old man reported waking up to a man going through his belongings in his residence on North Lincoln Street, Bloomington Police Department Lt. John Kovach said.

The victim then saw the man, identified as Frye, run out the door and proceeded to chase him.

While running from the victim, Frye reportedly dropped clothes he stole from the victim’s residence.

The victim chased Frye to the parking garage at West Seventh Street and North Walnut Street, where BPD officers made contact with them.

Frye had a figurine from a Foosball set in the victim’s residence in his pocket when officers made contact with him, Kovach said. Frye also had drug paraphernalia in his possession.
