Male in disurbance call considered suspect in burglary

The Bloomington Police Department received an anonymous tip Wednesday at approximately 5 p.m. describing a prior disturbance near the intersection of 17th Street and North Arlington Park Drive," BPD Sgt. Joe Crider said.

The tip reported that the previous day, a young white male of thin build with brown hair had been walking around in the area shouting loudly. He had a towel wrapped around one arm, which appeared to be bleeding.

Officers were directed to an apartment in the area where he had been staying, but the tenant said the male had been gone since the previous day.

There was blood spatter on the doorway to the apartment and police determined the male's arm injury to have been self-inflicted at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Wednesday morning, also on North Arlington Park Drive, a burglary occurred. A 45-year-old man reported his shed was broken into. Crider said the male will be a suspect in this investigation.
