The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a possible armed robbery reported near the area of West 11th and North Illinois streets early Wednesday morning.
The female victim told police she was walking on Illinois Street when a man approached her holding a knife and stole her purse, BPD Lt. Steve Kellams said.
As of 12 p.m. Wednesday, the case remained active and had been forwarded to detectives for further investigation.
