A female student reported being raped between midnight and 2 a.m. Sunday, according to IU Police Department logs.
The alleged assailant was an acquaintance, IUPD Chief Keith Cash said in an email.
The incident allegedly occurred after the student and the acquaintance were both at a party and she returned to his off-campus residence with him, Cash said.
Cash said the case is still under investigation.
