Father, son found dead in Putnam County home

Investigators determined a Reelsville, Ind., shooting was a murder-suicide Thursday afternoon following autopsies of the two victims.

Father and son, Kevin Boatright, 40, and Jeremy Boatright, 14, were found deceased in their Reelsville  home, located at West County Road 450 South in Putnam County.

A family member discovered the bodies while  visiting the residence, according to a press release from Indiana State Police. The family member made the 911 call around 1:35 p.m. Thursday.

The father, Kevin, was recently questioned by Indiana State Police detectives after he was named a person of interest in a case that allegedly involved him contributing to the delinquency of two female juveniles.

The two autopsies were conducted at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
