You got what?

You don't got this.

Take the whiny noise from “Gin and Juice,” add a classic Dirty South walking baseline and then copy-and-paste David Banner’s demeanor from “Like a Pimp.” What do you have? Big K.R.I.T.’s “I Got This.”

As impressive as he has been on recent features, don’t be surprised if you find K.R.I.T.’s first major single to be somewhat of a step backward. With the recent mixtape “4Eva N A Day” and a standout display on The Roots’ “Undun,” it seemed as though K.R.I.T. was in the game to make a difference. In actuality, he might just be here to keep making “Country Sh*t.”

The “King Remembered In Time” might not live up to his name if he continues pumping out jump-around tracks that lack lyrical depth. The only king to do that with some success was Lil’ John, and look where he is now.

In 2011, K.R.I.T. was voted to XXL’s Freshman class. K.R.I.T.’s debut studio album “Live from the Underground” will be released June 5. The Mississippi rapper could deliver a classic in the vein of his previous mixtapes, but if “I Got This” is any indication, it won’t be worth hearing.
