Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker said a foot patrol officer first noticed Stoner and two others sitting on a step in an alleyway on the south side of Brothers Bar and Grill. The officer thought he saw the men passing around marijuana, so he approached the group. He reportedly saw a bag of marijuana and a glass pipe.
After Stoner was arrested, Parker said the officer performed a search on him and found a small bag of white powder in the front right pocket of his pants.
Stoner allegedly admitted that it was cocaine, and a field test confirmed this.
The two other men were not arrested by BPD because the officer did not observe them engaging in illegal activity, Parker said.
Stoner is being charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
