Residents will be able to drop off unwanted electronics August 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The city is also tentatively planning to offer another free electronics recycling day at the end of this year or the beginning of next year, Shelby Walker, the city’s sanitation director, said.
The city is partnering with Vintage Tech Recyclers to offer the new service.
The program is located at the Sanitation Garage at 3406 S. Walnut St., just north of the city’s animal shelter.
Items like computers, laptops and cell phones will be accepted.
