Hoosiers look to extend 6-game winning streak

Softball

This week: Home vs. Minnesota at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday

Last week:
4-0 at Hoosier Classic and a pair of wins against Butler on March 22

Look ahead:
The IU softball team will welcome the University of Minnesota this weekend for a two-game series to kick off the Big Ten schedule. The Hoosiers will look to continue their six-game home winning streak — their longest since 2007. At 18-12, the Hoosiers already have more wins than all of last season.

The Gophers have a good chance of getting a large dose of Hoosier ace Morgan Melloh. During the last six games Melloh has been lights out in the circle, including 31 strikeouts and two complete games in the doubleheader victories Tuesday against Butler.

On the season Melloh has a record of 14-11 with a 2.28 ERA and 233 strikeouts in 153 innings pitched and 16 complete games in 23 starts.
