Mark Robinson, age 38, an employee of Taco Bell on 3702 W. Third St., fought off a robber using a mop to scare him away.
A white man, 5’9” with short hair, came into the Taco Bell around 11:20 p.m. Sunday wearing a gray plaid flannel shirt, according to a report read by BPD officer Sgt. Jeff Canada.
“Get in the register,” the suspect said, according to Canada.
Robinson then detached his mop and stood his ground with the mop handle. The suspect appeared to have a brown handle sticking out of his pocket that looked like a gun handle, but he fled out the door and headed north, according to the report.
